When there is a threat to public safety or an account is used to promote or glorify off-platform violence, we may suspend or ban the account. When warranted, we will report threats to relevant legal authorities.

Typically, five to six reports from different TikTok accounts are enough to get an account banned on TikTok. However, the reports do not guarantee account deletion. Reporting an account tells the customer support team about the issue you faced with the account you are reporting.

If the content violates Community Guidelines, we’ll remove the video and notify the creator of the reason. We’ll also give you the opportunity to appeal the removal directly from the app. If we don’t identify a violation, the video will be posted to TikTok.
