Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jnr. was born on December 19, 1970 in Costain, Lagos. He lived at Costain in his early days before moving to Aguda, Surulere, Lagos. Actor Ramsey Nouah was born to a Lebanese-Isreali father (Ramsey Nouah Snr.) and a Nigerian mother (Margaret Afolabi) who hails from Ondo State.
Nouah attended Atara Primary School, Orile Iganmu and Community Grammar School, Surulere, Lagos for his primary and secondary education respectively. Subsequently, he attended the University of Lagos, and obtained a Diploma in Mass Communications.
Ramsey Nouah Early Career
According to Nouah, he ventured into acting because of financial challenges. He needed funds for his GCE exams, and all effort to get the fund proved abortive. Therefore, he followed his friends advice and attended an audition that marked the beginning of his career in the Nollywood industry.
In 1990, Ramsey made a cameo appearance in a film. The following year, he got a role in the series, Mega Fortunes. Mega Fortunes which aired between 1993-1994 shot him to limelight.
Although Ramsey went into acting because he wanted to make money, however, as time went on, he developed passion for acting. Today, he is one of the most sought-after actors in the industry.
Ramsey Nouah is also a producer and has produced interesting films like Elephant in the Room and few short stories for African Magic. Also, he made his directorial debut with Living in Bondage; Breaking Free which is set to be released in November, 2019.
