Queen Nwokoye was born on the 11th of August, 1982, into a strict catholic family, as the first child of four girls. She grew up in Enugu, but hails from Ihembosi in Ekwusigo local government area, Anambra State.
Queen Nwokoye attended Airforce Nursery and Primary School, the Independence Layout primary school, and Ekulu primary school, all in Enugu for her primary education. After her primary education, she proceeded to Queen’s College Enugu for her secondary education.
After secondary school, she went on to acquire a degree in Sociology and Anthropology at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State. Growing up was fun for her because, though her parents were strict, her sisters were always available to keep her company. Queen Nwokoye is married and blessed with three lovely children.

Her journey in the industry began in 2004 after she watched a movie where Stephanie Okereke was the main character. In other words, Stephanie Okereke inspired her to become a Nollywood actress. Her drive to becoming an actress, made her come to Lagos to join the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). After she joined AGN, she started going for auditions until she landed her first role.
She came to limelight in 2014, with the movie – Ada Mbano. Thus far, Queen Nwokoye has featured in over 200 movies. She is also a recipient of several Nollywood awards.
