Google Plans – Google Plans On Launching New Lens ‘Homework’ Filter Which Will Solve Math Problems From A Photo: Google LLC is an American multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services and products, which include online advertising technologies, a search engine, cloud computing, software, and hardware. It is considered one of the Big Five companies in the American information technology industry, along with Amazon, Apple, Meta (Facebook), and Microsoft.

Google has been giving students and their parents a few assisting tools to make learning from home a lot easier. Back in May, it launched a large reality feature within Search that allows you to view 3D anatomy models and cellular structures. Google will help you solve your math equations simply by taking a picture of them using Google Lens.

The company is using mimicking the technology from the mobile app Socratic, which is gained in 2019, to power the upcoming Lens feature. When it arrives, all you’re required to do is take a photo of your study material and then highlight an equation or a specific issue you can’t seem to understand or solve to get fast access to step-by-step guides and detailed explanations.

The idea behind this is to make it easy to look up concepts giving you a hard time since you need to be able to understand them to be able to apply them. Google didn’t give any specific date when the Lens feature will be launched, but Socratic itself is available as an independent app for iOS and Andriod.

However, Google has also announced that Search now has close to 100 STEM-related 3D objects you can explore. If you search for the “Quantum mechanical model,” for example, you will be able to see a 3D atom model superimposed against your environment.

Google’s Director of Program Management for Education – Jennifer Holland, has also highlighted other tools that can help students who need to stay home due to the pandemic. She listed a few which includes a Read-Along, which could foster kid’s love for reading, and also a live caption and a smart speaker feature called Family Bell that can keep you updated by announcing when it’s time to start a class and when it’s time to take a break.
