About FUPRE

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), Delta State, Nigeria was established in March 2007 under a Federal Government of Nigeria initiative to build a specialized University to produce unique high-level manpower and relevant expertise for the Oil & Gas sector in Nigeria and worldwide.

At first, it occupied the PTI Conference center, Effurun Delta state, which is a few kilometers away from the permanent site. The new site covered large hectares of land generously leased by the chiefs and people of the Uviwe kingdom.

FUPRE is the first of its kind in Africa and it is destined to be the premier international institution-of-choice with the state-of-the-art facilities to provide the petroleum and allied sectors, world-class education, training, research, consultancy and extension services.

FUPRE organize its academic activities along college lines. Under this arrangement, related Departments are grouped to form a College without an intervening tier of faculties.

1.) Senior Lecturer (Mechanical Engineering)

2.) Senior Lecturer (Petroleum Engineering)

Qualifications and Experience

The right candidate for the job must possess:

• Possession of Ph.D. degree, Masters Degree, B.Sc, HND, NCE, OND in any related discipline to job position from a recognized institution;
• Ability to perform within the University System;
• Relevant publications and cognate teaching experience at university level or institution of comparable standard.
• Must have a good and practical knowledge of Computer applications.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

• The Conditions attached to the position are as generally applicable in the Nigerian University System, the Public Service of Nigeria and as may, from time to time, be determined by the University Governing Council.
• The appointment shall be on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
