Footballer, John Terry’s mansion burgled – John Terry’s home was robbed of thousands of pounds worth of valuables while he posted holiday pictures on his social media feeds, according to reports.

The former England captain’s £5 million mansion was broken into with valuable pieces of jewellery believed to have been taken.

Friends fear the 36-year-old’s revealing posts, including details of the home he shares with wife Toni, 35, may have made the couple more vulnerable.

A source told the Sun: “They love sharing photographs, but they haven’t been very subtle about their home.

“There have been a number of cases where high-profile people have been targeted because of their Instagram and Twitter pages — and John and Toni are very regular posters online.

“It’s a very real possibility that these burglars have seen some of their posts.”

The thieves broke in last Saturday and managed to evade the footballer’s security measures at his gated Surrey estate, according to the newspaper.

The source added: “It’s a horrifying incident for any family to go through, and John and Toni have been very shaken by this.

“They’ve hired an extra security team who are now outside, in addition to the security company who patrol the estate.

“They’re taking no chances.”
