For the past years, Facebook search has changed from a single page and individual search feature on the platform to a fully-fledged search engine. That is to say, now users can type in search queries in the search box and get results. Yet, whatsoever you type into the search engine is rested in the search results.

Delete Facebook searches is the removing or clearing of your search history on the platform. Just like most platforms online, Facebook saves your whole search history, but the good news is that you can delete those searches. You can clear or delete the searches individually or swipe the entire history.

Facebook is a social platform that is based on sharing and communicating, but the Facebook search is a wonderful option for finding people with. You can search for your friends with the search option rather than going to your friend list to find them. The search also makes it possible for us to come across old friends or college mates.

Facebook is similar to Google; it makes use of your search history to refine your results. Clearing the search history is simple and you can find the history from your Activity Log.

Facebook Search Activity Log

Your Facebook activity log is the section on account that lists all the social activities in a chronological form. The activity includes your likes, comments, followers, mentions in a post, etc. On Facebook, your searches are listed in your Activity log. Your activity log can only be accessed when you are logged into your account. Users can log in using the app or website.

Facebook Login

To log in, follow the instructions below;

  • Open the Facebook mobile app or you can use the official URL at facebook.com
  • Fill in your login details; mobile phone number or email address and password.
  • Tap on Login.

The account will be loaded on the device if the information provided is right. Once you’re logged in you can access your activity log to delete Facebook searches.

Search History on Facebook Activity Log

Your activity log on Facebook lets you manage and review the stuff you share on Facebook. You can find and use your activity log by;

  • Open your profile by tapping on your name or the picture.
  • From there, below your cover photo, hit on “Activity Log”.
  • In order to filter the results by types, use the options at the left side like Posts You’re Tagged In.

If you wish to search for a specific activity, use the Activity Search at the top right side.

How to Delete Facebook Search History

Your search history is the list of searches you made on the account. The log includes the things you’ve searched for on the platform. Your activity log is private so can’t be seen by anybody. To delete Facebook searches, follow the steps below;

  • Open the Activity log from your profile.
  • Hit on “More” and then choose “Search History” from the left side column.
  • Then hit on “Delete” next to search entry you wish to remove.
  • Hit on “Remove Search” to confirm.

The search would be deleted from the account. You can do the same for all the other searches or mark all and follow the procedures above.
