Abby Lee Miller Takes “Full Responsibility” For Bankruptcy Fraud – Abby Lee Miller may have resigned from Dance Moms, but in a few weeks she might’ve had to anyway.

We’re quickly approaching the Lifetime reality star’s May 8 sentencing for bankruptcy fraud, where she faces up to two-and-a-half years in prison — and she’s finally coming to terms with that.

It’s been a long road to get here, as it was way back in October 2015 that she was initially charged with attempting to hide $775K of her income from Dance Moms and other projects during Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

According to the documents, she had the money in a secret bank between 2012 and 2013, and eventually plead guilty to the charges in June 2016.

Now, almost a year later, she’s owning up to her bad decisions.

“I made mistakes and I trusted people, but ultimately I have to take responsibility,” the Pennsylvania-based star tells People.

She continues, “I have to take the blame. I have to take the punishment.”

That punishment will be decided by a federal judge in Pittsburgh, and could come with some real time behind bars — which is something that still seems unreal to her.

She muses, “I went from being a dance teacher from Pittsburgh who never ran a family business…

“I had these temporary people in there, now we’re finding out that money was going right and left, and I didn’t know that.”

So what is she doing to prepare for the worst? Sounds like her studio is her saving grace right now.

“I have to stay busy,” she says. “If I thought about it every day, I’d just sit around and cry.”
