Innoson motors which is shortened as IVM is the leading Nigerian automobile manufacturing company that was birthed with the ideas of its founder, Dr Innocent Chukwuma.
The adventure of Innoson motors started some 35 years ago as a small motorcycle spare parts shop in Onitsha, Anambra state.
With his great business ideas, he was able to transform this small retail shop into a full scale car manufacturing company that is not competing globally with the old names in the automobile industry.
It should be noted that just like no other manufacturing company anywhere in the world gets all its raw materials and other parts from within, Innoson motors also don’t get all its needed parts from Nigeria.
At the moment, Innoson motors manufacture about %70 of its parts while only about %30 are sourced from other companies from China, Japan, America.
These statistics prove that Innoson motors has gone beyond being an assembling plant into being a fully functional car manufacturing companies with global recognition.
