After which you follow the steps below to obtain a new driver’s licence;
Steps To Obtain Nigeria Driver’s Licence
1. Complete training at an accredited driving school.
2. The school would present you to the Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) for driving test.
3. Pass the driving test, and the VIO issues you a Certificate of proficiency to show you are successful.
4. Apply in person at the Driver’s Licence Centre (DLC)
5. Pay the Nigeria Driver’s Licence fee online or at the any designated banks in Nigeria.
6. Present your form to the Board of Internal Revenue Officer (BIR) or VIO at the DLC for endorsement.
7. Proceed to Federal Road Safety Corps officer at the DLC for Biomeric data printing and physical capture.

8. A temporary driver’s licence, valid for 60 days would be issued to you.
Important Note For Getting The Nigeria Driver’s Licence
In order to get the licence approved for the applicant(s), such person must have met certain criteria;
1. The person must not be below the minimum age for driving which is 18 years.
2. Must not be above the terminal age for driving which 70 years.
3. You must know that changing the category of driver;s licence requires a new test.
